Jesse McClure, star of America’s
Storage Hunters show, opened the new Store First centre on Millennium City
Park, located just off the M6 motorway, at 11am on Wednesday 30 April.
“The opening was well attended by
members of the local business community, management and of course eager fans
wanting to get a picture taken with Jesse McClure who has become a big hit here
in the UK for the TV programme Storage Hunters.” Said Tom Roberts of FJP Investment.
Fans of the hit US reality TV
show, which is aired on UK screens on the popular Dave channel, are familiar
with Jesse’s on-screen battles to outbid rivals to secure the contents lurking
in abandoned storage units – confirming the adage that one man’s trash is
another man’s treasure.
Jesse stopped in during his UK
wide tour and with the Manager of Accrington Stanley FC they opened the latest
storage facility for the Store First brand.
Also in attendance was the
Accrington Stanley FC mascot appropriately named Box Head. He has been
providing entertainment for both sets of fans since Store First announced the
sponsorship deal with Accrington Stanley early in 2013.
The company started life in East
Lancashire with smart, contemporary and purpose-built self-storage centres in
Blackburn and Burnley, before quickly expanding into the rest of the North
West, Yorkshire, Merseyside and beyond with branches in Rochdale, Preston,
Liverpool, Ellesmere Port, Barnsley, Wakefield and Leeds.
Storepods range in price from
£3,750 for a 25 Sq/Ft Pod, up to to £22,500 for 150 Sq/ Ft. The most common
sizes are 75 Sq/Ft which cost £11,250 and 100 Sq/Ft which cost £15,000.
